2 day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course

MHFA training courses were first developed in Australia in 2000.
In the years since, it has evolved into a global movement with licensed programmes in 24 countries and counting. Over two million people have been trained in MHFA skills worldwide.
MHFA came to England in 2007 and was launched under the Department of Health: National Institute of Mental Health in England (NIMHE) as part of a national approach to improving public mental health.

Two day course content:
The two day practical and skills based course for adults (16+) to gain the confidence and skills to become and qualified and certificated Mental Health Fist Aider, enabling:
A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including your own
Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support
The course consists of 2 full days:
Monday 27th January 2020
Thursday 30th January 2020
The training will take place in Tunbridge Wells.
£210.00 for the full 2 days, to include lunch and refreshments on both days.
