Q : Tell us about your business
ForrestHR provides excellent outsourced HR solutions and services to small and medium sized businesses. This service can be provided by either ad hoc support or engaging us as your outsourced HR function via a monthly retainer with no minimum period. Some of our clients even have a mixture of both.
Q : What excites you most about the work you do?
Working for myself and having the flexibility to run my business the way I want. My goal is to help small and medium sized businesses to grow their business by removing the time-consuming HR tasks and guiding them with people matters and providing them with the tools to manage this effectively, so they can focus on the business operations of their Company.
Q : Tell us about a challenge you faced in your business and how you overcame it?
As a new business, my main challenge is to keep the business successful and busy and this is mainly achieved through networking and marketing my business the best I can.
Q : Other than your own, which other businesses are exciting you right now?
BreatheHR continually excites me, the business has grown massively in recent years and from speaking with my account manager, they really know how to look after and motivate their staff. Their product is just simply fantastic and streets above any other HR software that I have used in my 20 years HR experience.
Another successful business is one of my clients who are the largest global private network of sport business executives. The CEO is truly inspiring and has a highly impressive network of sports partners and clients that I hope to work with in the future.
Q : What's your best piece of employee management advice?
Keep it simple and delegate where possible to ensure you remain in control at all times.
Q : What are you driving right now?
A3 convertible.
Q : What one business application/piece of software could you not live without?
BreatheHR! As I’ve said before, everyone LOVES it! Its unique, simple to use and cost effective, three very key things to a growing Company.
Q : If you could employ one famous person who would it be and why?
Lord Alan Sugar. The man is a genius, he grew his business from something small and also kept it fresh and simple. I’d hire him as my business development executive
